What’s changing in My Schedule and why you’re seeing it first
You have been chosen to be part of a small pilot group getting early access to an updated My Schedule experience in the HotSchedules mobile app.
This isn’t a finished release just yet, it’s an intentional step to test real changes with real schedules before we roll them out more broadly.
We started with the most important part; how the app works.
There will be new branding for HotSchedules which you'll also be first to see!
NOTE: If you work across multiple locations you may not have the same experience for all locations.
The problems we focused on
We didn’t redesign My Schedule to make it different. We redesigned it to remove friction we consistently see in day-to-day scheduling.
Less guessing about status
You shouldn’t have to interpret whether something is approved, pending, or needs action. Statuses are now clearer and more consistent so you can see what’s happening at a glance.
Fewer back-and-forth conversations
Releasing or swapping a shift shouldn’t require tracking people down or coordinating in person. You can now share shifts more directly, whether with a specific coworker or openly with the team.
Better context across days
When swaps span multiple days, the new views are designed to keep context visible so you understand the impact before you act.
Fewer accidental mistakes
We focused on reducing “oops” moments by making changes clearer before they happen, with confirmations and alerts where they matter.
What may feel different
Because this is a structural update, some things may feel unfamiliar at first. You might notice small inconsistencies or flows that still need refinement.
That’s expected; this pilot exists specifically to surface those issues before wider release.
How your feedback fits in
Your feedback directly informs what we adjust next.
What’s most helpful:
Moments where you hesitate or feel unsure
Things that take longer than expected
Anything that feels harder than it should be
Specific examples are far more useful than general impressions where possible.
You’ll be able to share feedback through an in app pop-up that we'll surface to you in app but if you'd prefer you can simpley fill out this survey here
What to do next?
Wait for the new update - we'll let you know when it's live. You will need to make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded
Use My Schedules as you normally would.
Pay attention to what feels easier, what feels harder, and where you have to stop and think.
That’s exactly the feedback we’re looking for!
